Jacob the Clown
Today is Jacob's last soccer game for the season. He brought his cleats to me this morning with some colored shoe laces. He wanted to change the black laces on his cleats to these colorful ones. He told me, this is our last game, I want to surprise my friends with these fun laces so they wouldn't be so sad. Then he proceeds to get dressed in his soccer uniform. I noticed he put his shirt on backwards. Mommy, remember I told you I want to make everyone happy today. He finished his "outfit" with winter gloves.

My Sweet Jacob
I wasn't feeling well over the weekend, I think I ate something bad and it was causing pretty bad stomach pain. So in the morning, I was laying in bed, as usual, both kids come in for their morning snuggle with mommy. I told Jacob my stomach was hurting, so he just stayed next to me quietly.
Joey on the other hand, decided to jump on top of me. Jacob got upset with Joey, he starts pushing Joey off of me, and said, Joey, stop jumping on mommy, mommy is not feeling well.
Later, I was sitting by my desk at home and my stomach started hurting again, Jacob saw my face and come running toward me and started hugging me, he said, mommy, I am helping you to feel better. I was so touched, he is my sweet baby.

Last weekend, I took Jacob and Joey to a co-worker's house for a potluck. When we got there, Joey had to go pee pee, so I said a quick hi to everyone and rushed him to the bathroom. I did notice that all the kids were sitting in the family room quietly watching TV. By the time we came out, Jacob was already upstairs, shouting at Joey "Come up here Joey, it's fun up here". They starting running around and house, pretty soon, all the other kids joined in and it became chaos. I just had to laugh.

The Golden Jubilee
Welcome to the public school system. Jacob's school is having a walkathon fund raiser called the Golden Jubilee. I am not sure what the school told the children, but Jacob came home and started talking to me about the walkathon.
Jacob: Mom, we are having a walkathon, can we give $400 dollars?
Mom: No, not $400.
Jacob: How about $1000 dollars?
Mom: No.
Jacob: But we will get a prize for the person that brings in the most money. We can get a water bottle.
Mom: Jacob, for one thousand dollars, I can buy you a lot of water bottles.
Jacob: Really?
Mom: Yes, really.
Jacob: Mom, what does raise money mean? Does it mean they will stack the money up so high?

Parent Teach Conf #2
Jacob's Kindergarten has regularly scheduled parent/teacher conference next week. The parents don't get to choose a time, they are assigned a 20 min time slot by the teacher, and you let the teacher know if you can make the assigned time. We got our assigned time and Joe and I both can make it.
So yesterday, we received a call from Jacob's teacher, Ms. Lin, requesting that we change our slot to a later time. Her reason for changing the time is so we will be the last slot for the day and we can take as long as we need to discuss Jacob. I wonder what she wants to talk about this time.
I keeping hearing this song in my head from Sound of Music, "How do you solve a problem like Maria (Jacob)?

David can Finally Get an iPhone
I just saw this posting in the internet and thought of David:
Apple begins selling unlocked iPhones in Hong Kong, at a low low price.
The unlocked iPhone will sell for a high premium however, $695 USD for the 8GB model and $795 USD for the larger capacity 16GB model.
So I wonder when David will finally break down and get one.
