Joey

Brotherly Love

Jacob is really into building Legos. We are in the process of building a lego house. It takes a few days since it's pretty elaborate. Joey has been the little sabotager, trying to destroy the house whenever he can, of course, Jacob gets really upset over it.

I explained to Jacob that Joey is trying to destroy your house because he wants attention from you. When you build legos, you are not playing with him, and so he breaks your house to get your attention.

Jacob thinks about this for a moment, and he replies, OK, we will only build legos when Joey is taking a nap.

The Hit Man

Joey: I am going to hit Jacob.

Mom: Joey, we don't hit people in this house.

Joey thinks for a moment and said: We only hit people outside.

Terrible 2s

Last night after Joey and Jacob got back from the park, Joey didn't want to come into the house. I carried him inside and close the door. He turned around and open the door by himself. I took him in again and this time, I locked the door. He turned around, tried to open the door, realized it was locked, and manage to unlock the door, and walked outside again. Hmm, not good. So I followed him outside.

Helen: Joey, you can choose to come in the house now or have a two minute timeout.

Joey: Mmm, I choose to stay outside.

Good Thing I am not an Only Child

Jacob woke up this morning around 7:00 a.m. and as usual, he climbed into my bed. I was really tired this morning, so here's the conversation that took place:

Mom: Go play in the playroom.

Jacob: Mom, I just got here and you want me to go play already.

Mom: I am really tired this morning and I need to sleep a little bit more.

Jacob: I don't want to play by myself, it's sad.

Say Cheese

Aloha VS Micky

Yesterday, Joe and I were on the phone with United Airline trying to book our flights to Hawaii. Jacob was listening and getting upset.

Jacob: Mommy, what are you doing to us?

Mom: We are planning a vacation to Hawaii.

Jacob: I don't want to go to Hawaii.

Mom: Why? We will have lots of fun in Hawaii, there's the beach and swimming pools.

Jacob: There are volcanos in Hawaii.

Mom: The active volcano in Hawaii is on the big island and we are not going there.

Jacob: I don't want to go to Hawaii, I want to go to Disneyland.
